KINGSTON — Two-time Olympic 200m champion Veronica Campbell-Brown has parted company with coach Lance Brauman.
In their six years together, Brauman guided Campbell-Brown to Olympics 200m glory in 2004 and 2008 and World Championships 100m gold in 2007.
"It has been a great run with coach Brauman over the last six years, but I feel it's time for a change," Campbell-Brown, who also won 200m silver at the 2005 and 2009 Worlds, told the Jamaica Observer.
She did not comment on reports that Brauman wanted a pay rise while the sprinter felt she was not getting enough of the coach's attention.
"Coach Brauman has done a good job getting me two individual Olympic gold medals, but the time has come to move on. I felt the need for a change," she added.
Campbell-Brown will now train with Anthony Carpenter in Atlanta.
