Bekele and Isinbayeva set for Prefontaine Classics

PORTLAND, Oregon (Reuters) - World record holders Kenenisa Bekele and Yelena Isinbayeva will join American standouts Tyson Gay and Sanya Richards in the July 3 Prefontaine Classic at Eugene, Oregon, organisers said on Thursday.

Ethiopian Bekele, the world's fastest at 5,000 and 10,000 metres, will run the shorter race while Russia's Isinbayeva will make her first outdoor U.S. appearance in the pole vault at the IAAF Diamond League meeting.

Both were recently named athletics' athletes of the decade by Track & Field News magazine.

National 100 metres record holder and world silver medallist Gay will run the 200 metres, with Richards competing at 400 metres, where she is the world champion.
