Gemili continues impressive form at European Team Championships 2013

Dartford sprinter Adam Gemili helped Great Britain’s 4x100m relay team to a new championship record at the European Team Championships in Gateshead at the weekend. The 19-year-old ran the opening leg of the race, setting up Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, James Ellington and James Dasaolu as they finished in 38.89 seconds which is the fastest by any team on the continent so far this year. He will follow that up by heading to the Czech Republic on Thursday for his first international competition of the season. He will take part at the Ostrava Golden Spike Event which is part of the IAAF World Challenge circuit, alongside the likes of Dwain Chambers.
